It all started with my school language arts assignment to write 4000 words in two months. I decided to write fantasy short stories. After my first few stories, my parents started encouraging me to write more stories, especially when I would say “I am bored, what can I do”?
I am an 11 year old middle schooler and have been writing for the past couple of years. This website is a collection of stories that I have written so far. My elder brother helped with the editing, and all the illustrations were hand drawn by my brother and I. We totally enjoyed working together.
Besides writing, I play sports such as soccer, basketball, cricket and chess. I am also in the intermediate band in school and play the alto saxophone, I am also learning tabla. And finally, in art class, I did the painting shown on the left.
I want to thank my family who are my main motivators and helped me put this web site together during the COVID-19 pandemic. Hope you like the stories and would welcome your feedback.

Hi, I am Asteya, and I am a middle schooler. Ever since I was small, rhyming words have always fascinated me. This lead me to start writing poems, as now I truly enjoy it. I have many other interests as well, such as many sports, painting, robotics, and reading. Similar to my brother, I enjoy playing tabla and playing the baritone saxophone.

On the right is a Rubik's cube solving robot I have made with instructions from the internet, which can solve the Rubik's cube in a couple of minutes.
